Study in the USA |
|
The United States has the largest and most versatile system of higher education. Any student willing and able to study will find a suitable place at one of the more than 3000 American colleges and Universities - the key is finding the right institution.
World wide survey reveals of the 1.2 million students pursuing postsecondary education outside their home countries, more than one-third choose to study in the United States
The higher education system in the United States has something for everyone. Some U.S. colleges and universities stress abroad educational principles: others stress practical, employment-related skills; and still others specialize in technical fields, the arts, or social sciences. As a result, if you are looking for an institution where you can study a particular field - no matter how unusual or specific - you can usually find several from which to choose in the United States. |

Study in the UK |
|
Britain has long enjoyed a widely envied reputation for providing outstanding further and higher education opportunities not just for its own citizens but for the commonwealth and the world community. British educational qualifications are probably more universally trusted and respected than those of any other country.
Students who have experienced the most usual continental European teaching technique of mass lectures in amphitheatres - sometimes with standing room only - never cease to marvel at the level of individual attention they receive in Britain. Perhaps this is related to the honourable record Britain enjoys in respecting the rights of the individual in general and enjoying the cultural and religious diversity of those who stay with us. This level of care should be discernible even in the way enquiries and applications are dealt with. An overseas student’s prior learning, work experience (if any) and qualifications will be treated seriously and weighed on their merits, not simply sifted by a computer following predetermined criteria. |

The GMAT exam measures basic verbal, mathematical, and analytical writing skills that you have developed over a long period of time in your education and work. It does NOT measure:
- your knowledge of business,
- your job skills,
- specific content in your undergraduate or first university course work,
- your abilities in any other specific subject area, or
- subjective qualities—such as motivation, creativity, and interpersonal skills.
The GMAT exam consists of three main parts, the Analytical Writing Assessment, the Quantitative section, and the Verbal section.
- The Analytical Writing Assessment consists of two separate writing tasks - Analysis of an Issue and Analysis of an Argument. You are allowed 30 minutes to complete each one.
- The Quantitative Section contains 37 multiple-choice questions of two question types - Data Sufficiency and Problem Solving. You will be allowed a maximum of 75 minutes to complete the entire section.
- The Verbal Section contains 41 multiple choice questions of three question types - Reading Comprehension, Critical Reasoning, and Sentence Correction. You are allowed a maximum of 75 minutes to complete the entire section.

The Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA) score is an average of the ratings given to the Analysis of an Issue and the Analysis of an Argument sections. Each response is given two independent ratings. Once both essays have been scored, the scores are averaged to provide an overall score. Scores for the AWA range from 0 to 6 in half-point intervals.

SAT - Scholastic Aptitude Test |
|
Originally, SAT was an abbreviation for the Scholastic Aptitude Test. In 1993, the test was renamed the SAT I: Reasoning Test. At the same time, the former Achievement Tests were renamed the SAT II: Subject Tests. In 2004, the numerals "I" and "II" were dropped and the tests are now named the SAT Reasoning Test (or just SAT) and SAT Subject Tests. SAT is a simple and recognizable way of referring to the SAT Reasoning Test.
It is accepted for US College Admissions. Most US Universities ask for the SAT for admissions to their undergraduate programs.
The SAT has three scores, each on the scale of 200 to 800. Your score includes writing (W 200-800), mathematics (M 200-800), and critical reading (CR 200-800). Two subscores are given for the writing section: a multiple-choice subscore on a scale of 20-80, and an essay subscore on a scale of 2-12. The total testing time for the SAT is 3 hours and 45 minutes. The 2007-08 fee for the SAT Reasoning Test is $43. |
